At Auriga, we believe in improving lives and dedicate ourselves not only to bring healthcare products to Asia, but to do what we can for our communities.
During the annual rainy season in Thailand, bad weather can lead to flash flooding and soil erosion, particularly in rural areas. The heavy rains can be dangerous to farms, wildlife and anyone nearby.
In order to support the local community and the environment, Auriga organized a team building activity in Chaloem Phrakiat Thai Prachan National Park in the Ratchaburi Province east of Bangkok. The team proactively assisted the National Park to build water dams to help prevent flooding in the park by building dams. With the guidance of park staff, the healthcare marketing team separated in two groups. One group was responsible for building the structure of the dam using wood truck and thick cloth while the other group lined up to pass stones one by one into a stream bed to support the dam. Working together, the Auriga team built a number of small dams sized 3 x 1 meters…and had a lot of fun doing it.
Being a responsible and contributing member of the community is at the core of the Auriga commitment. The team members enjoyed the chance to get to know their colleagues better, but it was just as important to be able to give back. Everyone knew that their effort would help protect the park, its visitors and the wildlife of Thailand. At the end of the day, Auriga team was proud of what they accomplished. They were happy, exhausted and very excited for the next community event!
