With the growth of our Pharmaceutical cold chain products and business, early spring 2021, DCH Auriga Thailand needed to double the cold chain storage capacity. At DCH Auriga we understand that cooling down a large space of conventional storage rack can be energy consuming. Furthermore, the continuous flow of temperature-controlled air to maintain storage temperature and product integrity with the material handling flow of temperature-sensitive healthcare products is critical and the need to keep the inventory cycle short and accurate is paramount. With the ‘challenge accepted’ attitude, our team implemented the country’s first 2-8 ºC vertical carousel storage system.

Reduced warehouse footprint and energy consumption

Partnering SSI SCHAEFER, we implemented SSI LOGIMAT® which is modelled like an elevator shaft in a building. It is fitted with a blower to manage a controlled temperature of 2°C to 8°C in the vertical space. Within a 20m² footprint, it brings the electricity cost down by 60% and saves up to 90% storage space. 

All-in-one solution for efficient storage and accurate picking & processing

Incorporating automation, the WAMAS® LOGIMAT software solution controls the lot management, allows the medical supplies to be stored and picked according to either FIFO or LIFO storage strategy, as well as expiration or sell-by date. This simplifies the order processing workflow, using the goods-to-person principle, processes the orders from the ERP system to pick and replenish orders received from hospitals, clinics and general stores.
